Know a teacher that loves STEM? Know one who would like to hone up on his/her skills, or just collaborate with other teachers from around the Valley? STEMteachersPHX.org is happy present our first Annual Conference. The sessions are specifically designed to open up discourse on how to engage students in STEM.
We have interactive sessions with vendors. Teams of student panels are presenting about their experience at the 2017 ISEF meeting in Los Angeles, Chief Science Officers explain what their role is for science education and ASU engineering students talk with instructors and business what it takes to become an engineer. We have presenters to address the T for Technology, the E for Engineering and the M for Mathematics in STEM.
The conference will kick off with a presentation of Mark Huerta of 33 buckets https://www.33buckets.org/ and David Jacobson will close the conference about how to use humor to enhance learning.
