9:20 - 10:20    General Session, facilitated by Christel Bruno

  • How to Use BTC in a STEM Classroom Immerse yourself in a professional development session tailored for beginners navigating BTC strategies within the STEM classroom. This modeling-style session emphasizes task identification, effective collaboration, and enriching classroom conversations. Explore structures that enhance collaboration and cultivate a thinking classroom. This session concludes with dedicated time for teacher talk, ensuring you leave with insights and confidence in seamlessly integrating BTC strategies into your STEM teaching practices. Elevate your STEM classroom experience with this concise and impactful opportunity.

  • Active Engagement in the K-8 STEM Classroom, facilitated by Jennifer Cheesman
  • Integrating Graphs and Data in the STEM Classroom, facilitated by Emily Bogusch

11:30 - 12:40   Breakout Session #2 - Choice of session

  • Establishing Classroom Culture, facilitated by Phil Root and Jeff Hengesbach.  Experience and share ways to help establish a safe space for students to collaborate, engage, and be a member of their classroom community. Topics to include first week of class, introducing activities, and reflective journaling.
